Website Design—Easterseals Military & Veteran Programs
Website Design
While working at Machado Consulting, I created this website for Easterseals Mass Veterans, similar but separate from the Easterseals website. Massveteran.com
Tools: WordPress and Photoshop
Popup Video player
Branding
The five guiding principles of this subgroup of Easterseals Veterans Count are Live, Learn, Work, Play, and Get Involved. I incorporated each into a section of the homepage, the slider, and each value had a page of its own.
Get Involved section on the home page
To make this section inviting, I chose a group photo of the volunteers, the Veterans Count logo, and the flag mural.
Work Page
For the Work page, I chose work-related photos and chose the Smash Balloon Facebook plugin to display the feed on this page.
Learn Page
Adam wanted to have a moving video carousel that showed videos and links to the YouTube channel. I chose the Wonder Carousel which achieved the look he wanted.
Play Page
I wanted this to be a fun and engaging page with a lot of images of members doing a variety of fun activities. To maximize the number of images, I included a small slide show at the top of the page.
Eventbrite
Many of the events will be posted on Eventbrite so I included a button to connect to the Eventbrite group page. I also installed a plugin to display upcoming events directly on the website.
Get Involved! Page
There are three ways to get involved, donating, joining, or volunteering. We put a donate button on this page which links to the form as well as a page that can be reached through a dropdown in the main menu.
