This Architectural Forum magazine cover from March 1945 by Paul Rand was the inspiration for my layout.

This first page was very similar to the magazine cover.

In my first layout, I tried to use the shape of the cover for the layout on each page of the 2-page spread.

In this spread, I decided to change the shape of the layout to cover the 2 pages and to appear bolder.

In this version, I decided to carry the red rectangle elements over to the spread.
